Company Policy:

Repairs: Our company policy is really quite simple; we stand behind our work.  We warrantee our custom work and repairs for one year from completion as long as there is no damage evident when we examine the piece. Watch batteries also have a one-year warrantee.  If a piece fails due to manufacturers defect we will work with the manufacturer to correct the problem at no charge to you.

 Services Available:

Jewelry Repair:
We have three very accomplished jewelers on staff with a combined 50 years of experience.  The owner Donald Elliott is also GIA certificated in gemstone grading and identification.  Ninety-five percent of the jewelry repairs are done on site.  From simple solders to stone setting we do it all.

Custom Design:
Speak with one of our knowledgeable professionals about redesigning an heirloom piece or creating a new one -of -a -kind piece that will pass from generation to generation.

Redesign:
Inherited  pieces that are  not your style?  Our staff  has earned a fine reputation for reconfiguring inherited pieces. We will reconfigure the piece so the sentimental value is not lost and you will have a piece that is worn often.

New Work:
We will work with you in designing a new piece that is exactly as you envisioned it. Whether we work from a hand drawing, CAD produced simulation or a cut out from a magazine, you can trust us to create an exceptional piece that will be admired for its beauty and craftsmanship.

Laser Welder:
In the fall of 2005 we purchased the newest technology for jewelry repair, a laser welder.  Laser welding provides us with the ability to restore heirloom jewelry and pieces with delicate stones without having to remove and reset the stones.  Laser welding allows us to fabricate intricate designs in less time then conventional soldering.  The laser welder is ideal for repairing costume pieces that other jewelers say cannot be repaired.   We also repair most eyeglass frames.  All work is performed on site.

Appraisals:
Estate/Probate appraisals, insurance replacement cost appraisals and resale appraisals are all done on our premises.  We will come to your home if you need your china, stemware or sterling pieces appraised.  Our appraisals include a complete description and photo of your pieces. Our hourly rates are very competitive.

Watch & Clock Repairs:
Elliott Jewelers works with two highly skilled repair shops, both of which are located here in New Hampshire.  Their rates are very competitive and both offer a one-year warrantee on all repairs.

The watchmaker is certified to work on Rolex, Patek Philippe, Movado, Omega and many other high-end timepieces, all at a rate much lower than the manufactures prices for refurbishing.  All watches are sent via U.S. registered mail.  The watchmaker will call us with a firm repair price and will wait for our OK before starting any work.  He will also advise us as to whether the piece warrants repair. On occasion a repair will cost more then the cost of a replacement watch.   If this situation should arise we will advise you so that an informed decision can be made.  Most watch repairs are completed within four weeks.  All watch repairs are a minimum of $15.00, which covers the cost of mailing to and from the watchmaker. This fee is paid at the time the watch is left for repair and is non-refundable.

The watchmaker is also an expert in antique watch restoration.  If you have an antique pocket or wristwatch that is in need of restoration or just a good cleaning & oiling let our expert watchmaker do the work.  On occasion it takes a few months to complete the work due to the scarcity of parts.  But, if you have the patience, it is worth the wait.

The clockmaker does expert work on antique and vintage clocks.  He will pick up and deliver back smaller clocks that are dropped off at our store for repair. There is a $20.00 non-refundable fee for this service, which is due at the time of drop off.  This fee is in addition to any repair costs.   If you have floor clocks in need of repair the clockmaker will make arrangements to come to your home.  He will also disassemble and crate your clock for shipping or uncrate and reassemble your clock when it arrives at your home.  All clock repairs are a minimum $75.00.

Hand Engraving:
We work with a hand engraver located here in New Hampshire.  His talents range from the ordinary engravings to the extraordinary.  He has the ability to reproduce almost anything  we send to him.

There is a minimum charge of $25.00 plus $1.50 per letter.  If a design is requested  then the price will be determined by the complexity of the design.  The minimum charge will be $75.00  All engraving charges need to be paid before the work is started.  All charges are non-refundable unless the engraving is not as specified.
